Daniel 5:29 'Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.'

When a servant of God reaches out to you, or sends a text to you, or you read or hear a sermon that directly speaks to you, please examine  your heart, and not just complain or totally ignore it. 

'Won't be bothered anyways' attitude  is incredibly frustrating when you feel like your words are just bouncing off a wall or that sharing your thoughts won't make a difference anyway. Nevertheless, let's examine today's scripture....

When I was reading the book of Daniel my heart was racing because this is how I feel each time I read Daniel. Well, I was taking down notes, in Daniel 5:17 Daniel said:"You may keep your gifts for yourself and give your rewards to someone else. Nevertheless, I will read the writing for the king and tell him what it means."

Daniel was crystal clear in his decision, without any oscillation. He said, 'boss, I don't want your gifts.'

Daniel made his boundaries completely unambiguous, leaving zero room for negotiation or second-guessing. When someone refuses gifts with that level of absolute certainty, it reveals his deep integrity.

Nevertheless, the devil doesn't give up, after Daniel successfully narrates the meaning of the vision when his immediate death was predicted with loss of his kingdom, with just only few hours to live, instead of weeping and repenting, the above scripture says , "Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck.." Observe the word " he commanded", Daniel refused the gifts but this guy thrusts it on him ..

Rebellious heart wants to show power not knowing that soon he would perish like chaff.
When an advice comes from a servant of God, don't rebel but humbly surrender yourself for change.

True brokenness is not about self-pity or despair; it is a clear-eyed recognition of how far we have fallen from God’s standards, how we have run far away from Him, despised His servants - combined with an absolute trust in His mercy.
