Boy, this is going to be tough to write today! We need be an example for our children, family, colleagues, friends, community, workplace , church, youth and so on. We need to walk the talk rather than be a noisy gong. Are you with me?
Be an example behind the car wheel, when your driving style becomes a public demonstration of your patience, respect, and care for others. Your lifestyle should speak for itself!
Back while working for a multinational bank, I was running afternoon prayer cells, I would tell the people who attend my meeting that they should be back in their seat on time after lunch break - not even a second late. We need to be examples!
As I was daringly preaching about Jesus inside the bank, people around me were watching how I react to situations. More than my preaching, how I represent Christ was very important. Being punctual, staying away from office gossip, handling being lampooned gracefully, financial integrity, doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Taking full ownership of your mistakes, successes, and deadlines. People would want your God and would pause to listen to you, if you are Christ-like and also making all efforts to be one.
The Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina is intentionally designed with Rev Graham's sermons, photos and life testimony to IMPACT lives that enter the library. The primary mission of the library is not to serve as a museum celebrating a man, but to use his life story to point people toward a personal decision at the exit doors.
If a visitor is moved by seeing how God used Billy Graham's life, they can stop in the " Prayer room" at the exit door. The chaplains will personally sit with them, answer questions, and guide them through a prayer of salvation or rededication to Christ.
