Focus on the unseen!
Sis Bala Samson
Daily Delight Devotions
May 18, Tuesday, 2026

2 Corinthians 4:18 "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

Boy, I'm so excited to write this devotion today! Can one single scripture change your countenance and bring you hope? Yes it can! There is power in the Word of God!

Despite feeling low, I did not close shop with God, but I continued to loudly sing worship songs, pray and towards the end of the day, I was reading the Bible and the above scripture popped out and brightened my eyes. The Holy Spirit said," FOCUS ON THE UNSEEN!" AMEN TO THAT.

I was worried about the building for Abide School, since we now run the School in an old rented building with no water and other facilities, I was fervently asking God for our own property.   Though I don't see anything as of now, I put my trust in God who will do the needful in His perfect time. Hallelujah!

View God’s quietness as active, behind-the-scenes construction, not absence.  Declare God's promises over your situation rather than speaking about your problems. Glory to Jesus!

For example, 26 years back when I boldly declared my faith when I was 5 months pregnant with multiple fibroids, that I was totally healed, this is focusing on the 'Unseen miracle' rather than the present dead situation. This level of confidence is anchored in Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

Thank God for the breakthrough before you see a single shred of evidence.
