Again and again!

1 Samuel 23:14 "David stayed in the wilderness strongholds and in the hills of the Desert of Ziph. Day after day Saul searched for him, but God did not give David into his hands."

If you don't receive an answer to your prayer, then pray again, if you feel clueless then pray again, if you feel your prayers are not heard, then pray again and again because God listens to you! Refuse to be cowed down by pressure and stress, go to God again and again.

In 1 Samuel 23, we see David going to God "again and again in prayer", let me show it to you:

Verse 4: "Then David inquired of the Lord yet again."

11 Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me to him? Will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? Lord, God of Israel, tell your servant.”

12 Again David asked, “Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me and my men to Saul?"

David knew God answers prayers, clap hands for God. God doesn't ignore you nor has He forgotten you, He said " ask and it shall be given to you."

David thought that the city of Keilah was strong and safe, read "David has imprisoned himself by entering a town with gates and bars." (Verse 7) David also thought that since he helped the people of Keilah they would be grateful and protect him; however, when David enquired of the Lord again and again, he got the clean and clear picture. The Lord said, " yes, you will be attacked and Keilah will not come to help." Boy, David must have been shell-shocked by this but we read that he instantly obeyed the voice of God. Say Amen.

The above scripture shows us that " David was protected in the 'wilderness'.  This passage serves as a powerful reminder that divine protection is secure, even when we are in the "wilderness".

Saul sought David "every day," representing the relentless pressures and attacks that seem to never end in a believer’s life. However, God’s protection is more persistent than the problem.
