From that time……

Mathew 16:21 ‘From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.’

Peter observed every subtle nuance of the Lord Jesus Christ and spoke unequivocally with crystal-clear clarity when he said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!” Ah, just look at the bliss of Jesus, immediately He joyfully claims: ‘Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.’’

The above scripture starts with the words, ‘from that time!’ From which time? From the time He heard their revelations, Jesus attempted to take them to the next level of the cross. Jesus started telling the disciples, “I’m on my way to Jerusalem. When I get there, I will be beaten and I will be killed, and on the third day raised to life.” Jesus shared every bit of the future happenings with His disciples, because He was thrilled by the fact that His disciples have gained knowledge and they knew who He was. KNOWLEDGE OF OUR GOD IS MOST IMPORTANT! Mathew 13:12’For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance…’

Apostle Paul prayed the following prayer: Colossians 2:2 ‘that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.’
The Bible would be a closed book for those who do not care to do a little spiritual home work, who do not care to know more of God, who do not care to strain and set aside time to read His Word. Apostle Paul said (2 Timothy 3:7) ‘always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.’ No wonder, the Christians are chasing for fake prophets!

I determined to attend an all-night prayer to seek God and His healing, while I was five months pregnant, diagnosed with serious problems in my uterus. The meeting was scheduled to start at 10 pm, but our entire family, along with my daughter, we were inside the venue at 9 pm. The message started around midnight and the preacher spoke till dawn. You want to know where I sat? In the first row! Such was my hunger for God! I returned with a fresh zeal for God that was insatiable! If it is an ‘off-site all-night-fun camp’, people would jump but not for an all-night-spiritual camp. I received healing at the night prayer!

Mathew 7:8”……..he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
