YOU CANNOT BORROW

Matthew 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves."

To start with I would like to share an incident that happened in our Abide School, free School for the underprivileged children of Hyderabad, run by us. Students are writing their Final exams now, yesterday I got a complaint from the teacher that a particular student was not bringing the required stationary items but causing nuisance in the exam hall by disturbing the boy sitting next to her asking him for things.  This she was doing despite knowing the strict rules of the school and also we had supplied free stationary for the students.  Look at that!! The student was punished for her negligence, carelessness and disobedience!  The irony of it all is that she is very brilliant, intelligent and super smart but alas lazy and careless!  Harken to the Word today!

Having given this example, let me come back to the scripture now, the foolish virgin is a very familiar subject among Christians that they have forgotten or ignored the core meaning behind it. It is high time we dig into the Word of God and fear Him! When the crisis hit at midnight, when the bridegroom arrived, they tried to borrow oil from the wise but the wise ones refused.

These virgins without oil were believers too, with knowledge of Christ; however they were careless in preparation. They took lamps without oil. Outwardly they all looked alike carrying the lamps; nevertheless, the absence of oil was known by the Holy Spirit.
What shocked me are the people who look perfect, holy, 'got-all-together' look on the outside but empty on the inside. Watch out!!!

We cannot borrow in the last minute.... Some stuff are "Non-Transferable"!!! You can't borrow the prayer, fasting and hard work that someone close to you has invested. No..no...

The Lord said in  Revelation 22:12: "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done"

Live with constant vigilance and personal readiness.
