2 Samuel 12:4 “Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him.”

Ewe lamb is an adult female sheep, particularly when mature. They are typically raised for their wool, milk, and for breeding, and they differ from the male sheep, which is called a ram. Look at the value - wool, milk and breeding - the devil doesn't want waste material, he hunts for that which is valuable.

David did not go to Nathan the prophet, but God sent him, to wake him up from ‘coma’ and therefore Nathan told a story of a rich man and poor man who owned a little ewe lamb. The rich man had great many flocks and herds but the poor man had just one little ewe lamb that he loved and cherished like his own kid. The devil wants that cherished little kid....

Selfishness Disguised as Necessity: The rich man justified his theft because he had a "guest" to feed. We often justify compromising "prayer time " by citing "urgent" work or "needed" relaxation, but like the rich man, we are often just unwilling to bear the "personal cost" of honoring God with what is His. 

We treat the time God reserved for Himself as something we are entitled to consume for our own "appetite". God gave us 24 hours but we reserve it for various utilisation, it can be even church work and fail to reserve the FIRST PORTION of the day that is meant for Him. Early morning prayer is putting God on top over everything else- no matter what!!!!

Ultimately, the comparison suggests that when we "steal" from the time dedicated to God, we are acting like the rich man who, despite having plenty, could not satisfy his heart without taking the one thing that did not belong to him. 

Pride and smugness is from Lucifer. Danger! Actually if you see deeply, this ‘sin of adultery’ happened in his life when he was in his great season of blessings, when people are full of blessings, talents, skills, joy and health then their heart becomes puffed up and their heart now wanders……………..

David had done atrocious and heinous crime of adultery and astutely planned murder of Uriah; however, for around 9 to 12 months, he seemed to be cool, trying to be normal with his wife that he hotly pursued and the new born baby. Many out there are living their life like this, as though in amnesia, oblivious to God and what they have done; nonetheless, the bubble would burst soon. Beware! 

Never think God is snoring, never…He is watching you - day in and day out....

God gave his all to purchase you, call you His own, kept you like the apple of His eye, yet, the demon is concocting ways to rob and kill you! You are His cherished ewe lamb! Listen to Nathan who God sends you, don't despise correction, accept and come back to God!
