WHOLEHEARTEDLY!

Joshua 14:9 “So on that day Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.”

Deuteronomy 6:5”You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”(Memorize)

Blessings, promotion and wealth will locate you and find you if you are LOCKED UP with God! You don’t have to chase behind it like many do today, chase God that is sufficient. Hallelujah! 

Moses promises Caleb that the land he explored (Hebron area) would be his and his descendants' permanent inheritance because Caleb wholly followed the Lord.  Though the promise was made decades earlier; however, God fulfilled it on the right time. Wait for the right time, meanwhile be faithful and loyal to God. 
 
What does it mean to follow the Lord wholeheartedly, let me explain through my own life experience.  It was a wonderful, spacious, clean, ventilated, centrally located house in a beautiful colony and just apt for the place that we were looking out for our ‘Abide Angel Home’ kids; however, there was a small hindrance here – there was a huge idol image that was engraved in the front door of the house!!!!! I refused to go further inside to look at the place, the friend who took us looked at me bewildered and asked me, ‘what happened?’ I said, ‘this idol is a problem, I do not want to take this house.’ You may have to walk away from some nice things in order to follow His commandments wholeheartedly, the Lord said, ‘flee away from idols.’ This is what it means ‘to love the Lord with all your heart and soul and follow Him wholeheartedly!’ Are you listening to me? Let us not love God in mere words, put them in action today! James 2:26 says, “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.”

We had to buy tally software for our ministry, the auditor volunteered to give us pirated copy, since the original software is expensive; we refused to accept his offer and I did not stop there, I preached then and there, I told him, ‘pirated software is not the right way it is ethically wrong, no matter how expensive may it be, we got to buy it. Don’t we buy expensive medicines, if it is necessary, likewise we got to buy the software and use them.’ There was no appreciation in his eyes, there was a smirk on his face, so much to say, ‘you Christian nut!’ I am glad to be a nut for God than to loot! We need the nerve to say the right things at the right time! Are you there? Don’t wait for a pat on the back for doing the right thing, you would never get it from this wicked world, do it because God has commanded you to do it. The Bible says:” 1 John 5: 3”For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.” I am glad to wait for the Lord for funds to buy the resources for the ministry than take a short and evil route. It may mean loss, pain and delay; yet, we got to follow God wholeheartedly in all areas! I stress here in all areas!

You may not have a job right now, but still, trust His promises and love Him whole-heartedly!  You may not have a kid right now and it would crush your heart to see the smile of a baby and may be you are aching to have one; right in this situation – praise Him! He would reward you at the right time! Wait patiently! Wait faithfully!

Don’t take the evil counsel of worldly people, take the advice of godly people who instruct you according to the scriptures and follow them.
