Romans 1:1 "Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God—" (NIV)

What caught my attention here was  "Servant of Christ Jesus!" We have tiptoed on the subject of fancy titles and self proclaimed glory that we see all around today but God expects us to decrease and He increase. It’s exciting to have a God-given dream and to use your talents for Him but it should all start as first being His SERVANT!

The Greek word used is doulos, meaning bondservant or slave. This indicates Paul's total submission to Christ .

Of the 27 books in the New Testament, 13 are attributed to Paul, and approximately half of another, Acts of the Apostles, deals with Paul’s life and works. Thus, about half of the New Testament stems from Paul and the people whom he influenced. Wow! Look at that!

An empty bottle or pot resonates more when tapped than a full one because the air inside amplifies the sound, acting as a comparison for empty-headed people making more noise. Your work should point out people to you, don't be deceived by the numerous viewers list, what matters is 'the impact of your work' ! Silently someone would send a one to one personal text to you about how he wants to hire you for an excellent job. Hurray!

Stay silent and show up daily and consistently, doing the mundane work with enthusiasm until God opens the flood gates of heaven to bless you! He will!

Called to be an Apostle: Paul emphasizes that his role was not self-chosen. His matchless talents, brilliance and knowledge did not make him puffedhead but his encounter with Jesus changed him inside out. Amen.

When I decided to start Abide School for the underprivileged in a rented house with few ragpicker kids on September 11, 2011, people started looking at me with sympathy, not many wanted to associate with me. Right after stepping down from a multinational bank, roaming the streets and villages spreading the Gospel with scanty crowd in meetings - I was looked upon as a ' failure & poor lady'.  It took many years until family, friends and relatives were able to see God's Hands in my life. Without humiliation, betrayal, lampooning and mocking you can never serve the Lord.

When you 100 percent surrender to God, He equips you with knowledge par excellence, unparalleled wisdom and poise. When you humble yourself, God will exalt you!
