Lord himself will give you a sign:
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you[a] a sign: The virgin[b] will conceive and give birth to a son, and[c] will call him Immanuel.[d]
God’s Word is translucent with no room for befuddlement or chaos, He is the prince of peace! Knowing God's will is an important learning for every child of God. Walking in self and pride is of the flesh but walking closely behind Him is the way of God. In the above verse we read that the Lord Himself will give a sign, yes, we don’t have to rely on worldly signs which might take you to the wrong direction.
God has provided signs to confirm promises such as the rainbow (Genesis 9:13,14) and we read of many such incidents in the Bible. Signs give us assurance and guidance from God; however, such incidences happen for major decision making in our life not for silly matters. Nevertheless Bible, the Word of God should be our main guiding force in our life.
I was just speaking to a church member this Sunday, who is a hardcore hindu, I thank God for sending her to church. She said that they shifted their house because some astrologer told them to do so; however, the problems did not leave, it was in fact getting compounded. This is what happens when you depend on human wisdom for direction, trust God to show you the way.
"God's Word is our ultimate compass" means the Bible provides divine guidance, direction, illuminates the way, highlights right from wrong, and helps individuals align their lives with God's will.
When the Lord called me to Hyderabad, there were roar of voices trying to shout down the voice of God, I grit my teeth and stood firm in my decision; however, I did have my ample share of fear and apprehension of such a huge decision, because it was a time of college admission for my daughter. Friend, when you stand for God, never ever dream that people are going to appreciate you, stones would be pelted on you.
God spoke to me through clear visions and dreams and also gave me the name ‘Abide School’ that we had to start and in many other major decisions. Now, after several years, I have to walk in faith!
How to Discern:
• Check against Scripture: Does the sign align with God's Word?
• Seek Counsel: Ask other godly people what they think. Proverbs 15:22 "Without counsel plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established".
• Test with Common Sense: Does it make practical sense?.
• Pray, fast & Listen: Ask for clarity through prayer and quiet reflection
