Let me show the life of David and explain this:
DAVID A MAN OF PRAYER:
.…for people who are wicked and deceitful
have opened their mouths against me;
they have spoken against me with lying tongues.
With words of hatred they surround me;
they attack me without cause.
In return for my friendship they accuse me,
but I am a man of prayer. (Psalm 109:2-4)
David himself says that he is a man of prayer! His confidence is reinforced by a track record of his life and his enthralling passion for God as we read in the various portions of the Bible, is it any wonder that God said of him, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart…? (I Samuel 13:14; Acts: 13:22). Phew! What a testimony!
In Psalm 119:164, he says, "Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments. His praises came from a heart of love, gratitude and holy reverence for God.
David was not doing the customary prayer of a devout Jew but his life was a surrendered life to God.
When people are unable to match your prayer life or the time you spend with God then they label you as a fanatic, monk, saint or someone who does things out of ritual. They called me so....a spiritual fanatic. For David, this was a consistent habit of worship, demonstrating a deep appreciation for God's laws and judgments. The 176 scriptures from chapter Psalm 119 talks about his passion for the Word of God, His commandments, laws and statutes.
Why don’t you understand that you, your life and your words talk loudly about God and His power! Your testimony and your walk with God should redefine the parameters of how people look at God and His power. They need to see the unparalleled and unlimited power of God in your life! He is able to alter things, create things and change situations! Hallelujah!

Jakes and Oprah Winfrey, the November 2025 episode of Jakes' podcast, "NXT Chapter," where they discuss accountability and a "little bit of reflection" , Ophrah Winfrey was also sharing the experiences of her life. To a question about AI, ‘in today’s advanced computer world, how does one keep their children safe from porn, violence and other ugly stuff? She said, ‘stay as close to Jesus, that is the only solution!” Wow, that was amazing!
