Psalm 119:105: This verse states, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path," highlighting the way scripture brings illumination and guidance.
Friend, we should be able to see the unseen through our spiritual eyes, anybody listening? Well this called spiritual awareness which believers get through intimacy with God and meditation of scriptures. This is not unreachable or reserved for the elite but every chiristian should desire for this kind of revelation knowledge. Apostle Paul said in Ephesian 1:18"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened.."
We run Abide School, free school for the poor from Grade 1 to grade 7, many times while on my daily morning rounds, I have caught red handed teachers and students doing something that they ought not to do. It was the nudging of the Holy Spirit that took me to the very spot where unrighteous and wicked things were happening. Let me narrate one such incident:
We offer free food for the students, I personally supervise the cooking, on a particular day when I went to the area of cooking, I found the big stove(these are not ordinary stove used at home, they are huge ones) not closed properly, the cylinder nob was not closed too, therefore there was a slight flicker of flame in the stove that I noticed, if I had not come to that area, then it would have continued to flicker, with small children around, it could have been dangerous. I immediately took action and put off the stove. God saved me on many occasions. Hallelujah!
In 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 (NIV), Paul speaks about spiritual discernment, stating, "The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments." Holy Spirit helps the believers to identify facts!
One of my favourite scripture is this:
Hebrews 5:14 – “But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” Glory to Jesus! Ravenous reading of God’s Word helps us in spiritual growth.
