Bearing much fruits
John 15:8”My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.”
The tree was erect and stiff around March, but I watched the branch of the mango trees in our garden almost touch the ground by the end of May because by now it was full of mangoes. With the weight of the huge bunches of mangoes, the tree was bent now! Wow, what a scene! THE bent branches are proof of abundant fruits! I now understand why Jesus wanted His disciples to bear much fruit, because that way they would not be stiff necked people but stay bent and humble.
Apostle Paul talks about these fruits in Galatians 5: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Yes, we need to be filled with these fruits! Dashing in and dashing out doesn’t produce any fruits in our life, no wonder we feel drained out and washed out because we may have a job but we will not have peace, anybody hearing me? I don’t have time to pray or read the Word because I have to travel, work, blah….blah….blah..are the excuses, find time for GOD in your life. Jesus said: “..without me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) Remove the crowd and separate time for His Word and prayer.
Regular pruning is required to bear much fruits: The moment I knew the Truth and after I was saved from ‘dead Christianity’, I started pruning my life. I aggressively started cleansing my life by: breaking movie audio/video CDs, tore all secular magazines/books that contradicted the Bible, stopped watching all unhealthy secular programs, severed all unwanted relationships, cut away worldly stuff and lots of other things. Just to put it in one single sentence, ‘my life style took a complete U TURN!’ I paved the way for growth! Are you satisfied to remain as dead Christians producing no fruits? Or are you satisfied with just living a name-sake Christian life? Or are you craving to live a gorgeous fruitful life? Decide. What do you do?
Fits of rage, anger, screaming, shouting, arguing and pride takes a flight when the person starts growing in the Lord. I wrote the below lines in the year 8/1/2013: Today all palpitations, adrenaline rush, angst, aggressive ambition regarding ministry has ceased; I feel content by just obeying Him and walking with Him.
Walking in His will means, I have to be available for His agenda and to dump mine. GOD BLESS YOU!
