Blessed month of October!
Do not be alarmed!
Acts 20:10”But Paul went down and fell upon him, and after embracing him, he said, "Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him."
Imagine a boy falling down dead during a night prayer, but the preacher came down totally calm and unruffled, “fell upon him, and after embracing him”, said, “Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him." Boy, this is incredible, audacious faith! Well, when I am trusting God and remaining silent, trusting God to work on my behalf, I hear people tell me” so, you would just sit still and watch these things? You will not do anything about this?” I am sure all of you would have faced such situations, so how do we react? You know what, this kind of supernatural peace in the storm comes from focussing only on Him and not around, let me give you a scripture which beautifully explains this: “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you".(Isaiah 26:3) Hallelujah! Listen, not your branded clothes but calm demeanour, poise and silence is your greatest asset!
No fun wearing a big cross and having panic attacks over lizards and cockroaches but aping your heavenly Dad’s character should be your goal who calmly told His disciples "Do not be afraid" when walking on water, or saying "The child is not dead, but sleepeth" when he raised Jairus's daughter. I am sure someone is being blessed today!
We see two things here:
• Apostle Paul’s unshakeable faith, he did not run hither thither, make a huge noise because this was no ordinary issue but death; nevertheless, he did the first aid himself “ he fell on him and embraced him’, praying over him, as Elijah and Elisha did ( 1 Kings 17:21 ) ( 2 Kings 4:34 ). He believed greater is He that is in Him than he that is in the world. Clap hands for God! Amen. Today we have Christians who treat God, church and Bible shabbily, therefore they have no spiritual power to claim the power of God.
• Paul had full assurance of God and in His mighty power, only such people can look at death and say, ‘Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him!’ Amen. Hebrews 10:19–23 "Let us approach with a true heart in the full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water".
