Job protected his legs from sin:(Read from verse 4-8 for meditation)

Job 31: 4” Does he not see my ways and count my every step?

We can see his intentional efforts to keep every part of his body from sin, this is the reason for the unparalleled blessings that he received, he was able to conquer intense pain, delay, betrayal and humiliation through strength from God.

Do not be hasty in rushing to the party that you are invited – slow down and think if it is healthy and worth your time? If you are going to tag your family along, then think if it would bless them or defile them. Think…think… I remember back while working for a multinational bank, there would be regular parties, after my salvation experience I stopped attending such parties because now my eyes were opened to see the harm.  Did not Jesus say “Matthew 13:16, "But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear?”

Illustration:  I remember almost pleading with an elderly aunty to tell her husband to go to church on Sundays but she ignored my advice.  I said this when the elderly man was able to walk, actually he would go for evening walk down his street but ignore the church which was situation just down the corner of the street where they stayed.  I kept repeating this over and over again but nothing worked, he was adamant to not set his foot inside the church. Eventually, he was unable to walk one day and he got bedridden, the last days of his life were very sad because he was unable to even walk to the toilet and he had to depend on others for everything, finally he passed away. I want to repeat this scripture here: Job 31:  Does he not see my ways and count my every step? Be warned today!
Ephesians 6:15, which calls believers to have their "feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace".

I want to quote another awesome scripture and finish up today’s devotions: “His legs are pillars of marble set on bases of pure gold.”  Song of Solomon 5:15, the beloved's legs are described as being strong, stable, and beautifully proportioned, like pillars of the durable and prized material marble. Marble pillars are known for their strength and ability to support significant weight; likewise, our legs should be steadfast like Christ and not wobbly and shaky.  Anybody listening? We just cannot use the legs given by God to go anywhere and everywhere – guard them!
