SONG OF SOLOMON 5:6"I opened to my beloved, But my beloved had turned away and had gone! My heart went out to him as he spoke. I searched for him but I did not find him; I called him but he did not answer me.”

In the book of Song of Solomon, Bridegroom represents God and the Bride represents the Church and the believer, so we need to read from that perspective. When God came to visit His Bride the Church, the Church was sleeping.( verse  2 "[BRIDE] I was asleep..) Very sad.  This is the scenario today, we call ‘come home God…visit my house God….we need you God’ but when God visits, we are not prepared. Alas! Christians are asleep! The above Bible scripture tells us that when the Bride delayed to open the door and procrastinated, God was gone…..He left…..all she could feel was the lingering fragrance of His presence.  She goes on to say, “I searched for him but I did not find him; I called him but he did not answer me.”  Our lethargy, carelessness, recklessness and wildness has driven God away from us.  Anybody listening to me?

I was told that a Christian father of two grown up children watches movies on NETFLIX the whole night, many Christian women watch late night TV serials and they wake up late in the morning.  Alas, God has left but they don’t realize!  Samson was playing daringly with sin too long and basking in the lap of Delilah, when suddenly he woke up, he found God had left him.  Warning! When the people disobey the commandments of God and follow idols, God said: ““I will uproot Israel from the soil that I gave them, and this temple that I have sanctified for my name I will banish from my presence” (2Chronicles 7:20). Very heartrending to read this scripture!

Dear friends, If you need God to visit you then you need to be prepared to welcome Him into your heart and home.  You cannot have an overcrowded life with entertainments and worldly activities and still expect God to squeeze in, no….no…..He wants the entire space for Himself. God bless you!
