Deliver me

Genesis 32:11    "Deliver me, I pray, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, that he will come and attack me and the mothers with the children.

Though Jacob planned million things to ‘appease’ his brother Esau by dividing his huge household into two camps and by arranging gifts for him; however, Jacob goes to God, he prayed: 11 "Deliver me, I pray, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, that he will come and attack me and the mothers with the children.” Imagine, how sad it is to be chased by your own brother, even after 20 years things haven’t changed.  Conflicts within the family is very painful; however, stay calm God would clear the puzzle.

Jacob eventually knew that his muscle power, astute brains, being shrewd and sharp would take him nowhere, he surrendered to God and said: Deliver me! There are times in my life when things get too tough, when I am unable to swim anymore, I would lift my hands up and say, ‘now I give up, Dad help me, remember the day I walked out of the multinational bank without a penny in my pocket , with two kids on my shoulders  to serve you. I gave up my own apartment and everything in order to serve you, now daddy where would I go but you.’ After this kind of prayer I always received a hug from God.  Hallelujah! I am speaking to someone out there, trust Him wholeheartedly!

After languishing in the prison for several years in solitude, the pain and agony
of being accused unfairly had not dented one bit Joseph’s love and faith in God!
He remained firm and strong in God! Hallelujah! Incredible! I’m choked with
emotions as I write this portion of the message. I’m sure it would touch you too!
How often we sob and complain about false accusations against us, do we have the strength to silently endure resentment, rejections and wrongs done to us? When
Joseph found two people sad and downcast in the prison, he not only comforted
them but came forward to help and interpret their dreams and said: "Do not inter-
pretations belong to God? Please tell them to me." We get this kind of wisdom
only through close relationship with God! Joseph humbly and patiently waited on
God to bail him out of imprisonment. God honored his faith and blessed Joseph enormously, read:

Acts 7:10”The Lord delivered him from all his afflictions, and granted him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he made him governor over Egypt and all his household.” Cry out to God!
