Time for everything

Matthew 17:9    “As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, "Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man has risen from the dead."

Listen to me friends, what the disciples saw on the mount of transfiguration was no small thing, they saw ‘indescribable awesome things’ that words are not sufficient to explain: Jesus was clothed in majesty, His garments became as white as light, they saw Moses and Elijah standing with Him, they heard the voice of the Lord. Phew! Imagine! One would go bonkers with such celestial scenes; however, Jesus commanded them ‘don’t tell the vision to NO ONE’ which means even to the other disciples. Period.  Also He gave a time frame for this, He said, tell them only, when “the Son of Man has risen from the dead.” Gosh, this is tough! Let us mull over this subject of importance today…

God expects us to maintain discretion, confidentiality and maturity, are you listening? We need to be wise and sagacious; those who have blabber mouth are referred to as fools in the Bible.  Proverbs 12:23: “A prudent man conceals knowledge, But the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.” We cannot call ourselves as children of God, water baptized, church-going Christians but still have LONG, UNBRIDLED, SHARP TONGUE,   anybody listening? People should look at us like a safety –locker where they can come and confidently open their heart, knowing that we are ambassadors of Christ. In the pretext of sharing prayer requests, we should not share the confidential matters that was shared by someone to you, be careful.

God very categorically told His 3 elite, chosen disciples, ‘tell no one’, God should be able to trust you with a secret, will you be the one? In order to please our friends our family members we foolishly share confidential matters and thereby lose the favor of God.  Are you a trustworthy person or a blabber mouth?

Another things that we learn from the above scripture is that, ‘there is a time for everything’, ‘what to talk and when’. Talking isn't about just speaking, it's about sharing your thoughts, views and emotions with people in a way that engages them and gives out a genuine and positive vibe and also be a good listener . You can these qualities through Christ!
