Peace rule your hearts

Colossians 3:15”Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.”

Rather than lock horns with people who oppose and fight with you, it is better to give in and stay silent. That is victory! Hallelujah! Disagreements, misunderstandings, being hated are all part of the package of your life, life is not always going to be hunky-dory, deal with all these gently rather than scowl, frown and fume.  Relax! Excel that super anxious energy, the inner hurricane that is trying to dominate your heart and smother peace and love.  Don’t give in to angst but let peace rule your hearts today. Trust God 100 percent.

About the unusual blunders that Viswanathan Anand committed during the World Chess championship, Magnus Carlsen said: “It really has to do with being put under pressure. And really, that’s all that I wanted to do in this match.” The otherwise cool Anand, lost his peace and the match because he failed to remain calm and composed!  Yep, stress and pressure destroys peace!

What does it really mean by ‘let the peace of Christ RULE in your hearts?’ We need to decide today what are we going to allow to reign or rule our mind and heart??  Will it be frustration and fear? Or will it be hope and peace? Will it be envy, anger, revenge, bitterness, arrogance or the gentle peace of Christ?  Think.  I know we all need this message today, examine your heart today and submit the peace of Christ to rule you. Do you hear me please??

Oh, she hurt me, she did not talk to me, she did not invite me, he was rude on the phone, he did not acknowledge me, he refused to see me and what not…let everything be put under our feet today and let us say, “ I forgive everyone who ignored me, abandoned me, rejected me, angered me and now I will be Christ-like in nature.” You know what, when you do the above and smile, the devil is defeated, come on today let us not be proud but be peace-makers.

Now, a question arises as to how to peacefully cross this period of anxiety? It can be waiting for a visa, college admission, transfer, promotion, operation, scanning report or anything that can give you palpitations; the answer is given by Apostle Paul: Philippians 4:6,7 “ do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God bless you!
