GRAND LIST

Matthew 1:5”Salmon was the father of Boaz by Rahab, Boaz was the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse.”

How does one come under a celebrity list? It is based on numbers on Facebook , youtube, instagram, Twitter and other social networking platforms.   Earnings carry the most weight. List of players in any game is done based on their past performances and at times it is unfair and  biased also, ‘am I on the list would be frantic question on everyone’s lips’. While working for a multinational bank, every year, around increment time, everyone were keen to know if they were on the promotion list or increment list; however, today we are going to see how God gets your name in the GRAND LIST?

Look at the above scripture, it says, ’Boaz was the father of Obed – by Ruth’ was a deliberate inclusion. The name of Ruth featured in the geneology list of the birth of Jesus Christ! Wow! What a privilege! Ruth was remembered by God for her passionate, fiery commitment to stick on to Naomi, determination, piety, loyalty, humility, hard work and so on.  God would never forget you, your name will not be omitted, He would put you on the grand list. The Bible says, “The Lord watches over you..” (Psalm 121:5-8)— Say Amen.  2 Chronicles 16:9 says ”For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are fully devoted to Him.”

You feel nobody cares? You feel nobody notices? You’re wrong! When nobody seems to notice… God does! There were times, I would fast and wrestle in prayers with the Lord for a particular family to be united. But when that happens, people never even bother to come back to you with the good news. We live in an ungrateful world. But God knows it all! I think that’s enough! Let me ask you this…how many of you believe that God can divinely intervene in your life? He is watching over your life! He is the lifter of your head! You would be above and not beneath! Amen.

Psalm 56:8” You number my wanderings; Put my tears into Your bottle; Are they not in Your book?”
