Worship Jesus Ministries Trust Presents
devotion by Sis. Bala Samson

An article I read said this about Anxiety:”Anxiety often produces intrusive thoughts pointing to real or imagined threats. In post-traumatic stress, it can cause repetitive flashbacks and ruminations.”

Who can forget the loss of lives, burning of dead bodies, the serpentine queue for oxygen cylinders, pain, tears and anxiety during the Covid second wave last year 2021, SAME TIME in India? Many families affected by this wave are still undergoing counseling and medical help to overcome ‘PSTD”, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that's triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it.  If someone you know are going through some kind of depression, please forward this devotion.

However, the Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Wow, we as privileged to have the Bible with 66 books that give us solution for every problem that we undergo, we don’t need to pay counseling charges and sit and listen to human words. Anybody listening?  What does it mean that we should be anxious for nothing?  God is asking us to surrender every pain, issue, problem into His hands, trusting Him to solve it.  100 percent surrender that He will bring justice.  Say Amen. When you put God as the Head of your project and do things as per His Word, then even if it looks weird and surreal for you; and even if it looks like an irrationally insane journey, go for it, victory would be yours - if you just trust Him ceaselessly. Steadfast faith! Don’t waiver!

It took three years for a single paper with updates about our Abide school to be passed to the head office! The endless phone calls, frustration, discouragement, agony, pain, restlessness, tiredness and fatigue were ample during the process; yet, it is the Word of God that kept us tight in the track. Believe me, I would have gone bonkers without His Word! The Bible says: “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”(Isaiah 26:3) When someone at home walks with peace and trust in God, the people surrounding that person are impacted  with the same vibe too, are you listening?  That’s exactly why we should read good stuff and also move with people with positive attitude. Don’t avoid Bible reading and relationship with God.  God bless you!
