Wrapped and trapped with no escape

Jonah 2:5 "Water encompassed me to the point of death. The great deep engulfed me, Weeds were wrapped around my head.”

Weeds wrapped around his head, Jonah was trapped with no ways to escape, the belly of the fish became his prison.  The door was closed and the keys taken away, were you in a situation like that?  Since Jonah was disobedient and running here and there away from God, he had to be bound and kept in custody; however, in that tight position instead of getting bitter, Jonah remembered the Lord ,verse 7 "While I was fainting away, I remembered the LORD..” Glory to Jesus!  God was waiting for this moment in the life of Jonah, so that he looks up at him for mercy and deliverance.  While he was choking with water and weeds,  Jonah said: Yet I will look again towards thy holy temple.(verse 7) Glory to Jesus!

David would have fainted if he had not believed during the most terrible times of his life, he said:Ps 27:13. “I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.”

In the year 1999, while I was five months pregnant with my second child, I was diagnosed with multiple fibroids which were found on the inner and outer walls of the uterus. The fibroids were rapidly growing along with the baby, besides this, my placenta had come down, away from its normal position, so I was strictly advised to say in the bed and use bedpan and was not even allowed to get up for wash room .  If I get up then the baby would come out was the warning! I was carried in a hospital stretcher and brought home.  This situation was ‘fish belly’ prison for me, God had to confine me to the bed, so that now I look up at Him and only to Him.  I precisely did that, prayed, believed and received a miraculous healing from the Lord.

GOD WORKING FOR YOU IN THE DARK: God is working out a miracle for you while it is still pitch dark! Be encouraged today! Do not give up, keep trusting God and remember to meditate on His promises. Steady prayer life, meticulous Bible reading will take you through the darkest moments because the Word of God is a lamp to your feet and light to your path. (Psalm 119:105)
