 Anointed hands

2 Kings 13:16”Then he said to the king of Israel, "Put your hand on the bow." And he put his hand on it, then Elisha laid his hands on the king's hands.”

We need to know whom to call during times of crisis! Knock the right door!  One wrong counseling, one wrong direction, a single wrong advice and carnal thoughts can take you downhill! Discern the will of God!  Are you listening?  When someone whispers, ‘resign and take up another job with higher salary’ don’t naively submit to all voices, fast and pray to hear HIS voice.  Escaping the present crisis and jumping to another safe zone sounds good but if God wants you to stay and face the challenge then yield to the will of God.  In the many twists and turns of my life, I have found that God is not bankrupt of ideas, He takes you through the various corridors of life but eventually would lead you to your destination.

King of Israel knocked the door of prophet Elisha when he was attacked by enemies and wept  over him and said, ‘My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and its horsemen!’  I hope we all turn to the right person when life gets messy!  Do you hear me?  Prophet Elisha tells him to take a bow and arrows and shoot through the window, ( observe not arrow but arrows – be ready to strike many times) king Joash obeyed the prophet.  I like the part where prophet Elisha lays his hands on the king’s hands; when our hands and shoulders droop with exhaustion, pain and discouragement, God would strengthen our hands through the hands of His prophets.  Take courage today!  Fear not!

When everything around us fail and just when we think we have none to bail us out, God would send His prophets to lift us up, counsel us and show us the right path.  Listen to the servants of God!  Obey the pastors and leaders appointed over you!  The Everlasting Arms of God would reach out to deliver you from the pit of debts, from the cave of depression, failure, addiction, discouragement, illness, agony, humiliation, rejection and pain.  Arise today!  God is able to save you!
