Great Light

Mathew 4: 15  "The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles-- 16"The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light, And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, Upon them a Light dawned."

On December 17 this year, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un marked the 10th anniversary of the death of his father and predecessor, attending a ceremony with top officials at a palace where his body lies in state while people across the country held commemorations. Kim Jong Il, the second of the Kim family dynasty, ruled North Korea for 17 years until his death on Dec. 17, 2011. State media at the time did not report his death until two days later. Let me tell you the dark side of North Korea, Kim Jong Un would give capital punishment of death for people who disobey him, he killed his own uncle.  People were prohibited from smiling, shopping, or drinking as part of an 11-day mourning period commemorating the death of former leader Kim Jong-il.  "Even if your family member dies during the mourning period, you are not allowed to cry out loud.. People cannot even celebrate their own birthdays if they fall within the mourning period.  THIS IS CALLED DARK PERIOD.

Anti-conversion bill has been passed in Karnataka during this Christmas season, this is called DARK PERIOD.  People in Afghanistan are suffering due to violence, atrocities etc, this is called DARK PERIOD.  Just like North Korea and Afghanistan that we talked about, in the above scripture we read about a land called Galilee, where the GREAT LIGHT Jesus set His foot on.  Amen.  People who were sitting in utter darkness of sins, sickness and slavery experienced the love of the Great Light that visited them.  Clap hands for God!  Christmas is about sharing the good news of the birth of Jesus to the dark lost world and transformation in our own lives.  Anybody hearing me? Christmas is not about booze party, night dance, empty social gathering and demonic fun but it is a holy festival that has been celebrated with reverence and holiness.

Put a smile on the face of the poor and abandoned, share food with the poor and love your neigbhbour. God bless you and merry Christmas!Click HERE to view few pics of our Christmas activities at Abide School)
