John 10:10”The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that you may have life, and have it in ABUNDANCE.”

I received a call from a dear pastor this morning working in a rural area, this what he said: “ I am walking in the abundance of Christ, I have good spiritual friends and prayerful friends, what more do I want?’  Just not this time, but each time he calls me, he would say, ‘I live in abundance.’.  He lives in an area where there are no proper internet connections, ministers in a rural area, among the downtrodden; yet, he says, “ I LIVE IN ABANDANCE!’ I'snt this a rare statement to hear during the COVID19 season?  spoke for full half hour and it was like Niagara Falls splashing all over me, I felt refreshed.  Wow!

He continued to talk about himself, ‘I need to have a close intimate connection with God so that all that I do is in line with him, what I say , do, write or preach should be God’s voice.’  Amen.  Anybody listening to me?  Satan comes in various forms to steal, kill and destroy you but Jesus comes to give you abundance, many suffer lack and are in neck-deep debts because of unwise decisions and recklessness.

Be careful in how you spend your money, do not recklessly get into EMI purchases, control the impulse to splurge and arrest the roving eyes! Unfettered desires leads us to devastation! Patiently wait for God’s timing! I can tell how I had to look the ‘other side’ when people flaunt their latest electronic gadgets while I had to adjust with my old items for a long, long time. Being in the mission field, serving the Lord, there is a cross I had to carry; nevertheless, I’m content .. Apostle Paul said: But godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6

Proverbs 15:16 “Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure with turmoil.”

When I working with a multinational bank, I would watch highly educated, officers walk with long faces on the day they receive salaries. Yes, they compare with others and are never satisfied; however, there are very few who live a life of contentment.  Praise God for that FEW.How about you? Don’t let greed destroy you, your abundance is in Christ!
