Felix was frightened

Acts 24:25”But as he was discussing righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix became frightened and said, "Go away for the present, and when I find time I will summon you."

Who is this Felix? Felix was the governor of Judea and Samaria, while in Judea, Felix was attracted to Drusilla, daughter of Herod Agrippa I, the fact that Drusilla was already married made no difference to Felix. He enticed her away from her husband, Azizus, and they later married, he was also highly corrupted person.  Imagine God bringing such a hardcore sinner to Paul! But Paul bravely gave the Gospel immaterial of the consequences.  The Bible says: Felix became frightened, Paul did not get scared but the governor trembled in front of a prisoner Paul! Glory to Jesus! When you walk with God then He gives you dignity, poise and confidence.  Proverbs 28:1”…the righteous are bold as a lion.”

Christians today live in a fairyland and hope to just dance into heaven, while living in corruption, debauchery and wickedness; there is not much difference between a Christian and a nonbeliever: they hear the same music, same movies, visit the same bar, spew profanities and are into adulterous relationships but still claim to be Christians.  Shame.    There is a particular Christian group of people who say that once saved is enough, even if you fall back to sin, there are no issues, you can live nastily, maliciously and still go to heaven.  The Bible says” Assuredly, the evil man will not go unpunished, But the descendants of the righteous will be delivered.” Proverbs 11:21

The  whatsup status and facebook page status of many Christians are CROSS and amazing grace, however, they would not even give up popcorn for Christ.  Such is their attachment to food, people of other faith fast and pray, but Christian is hesitant to give up on food and fast.  We need self-control and crucifixion of flesh in closing our mouth for unnecessary food, anger, gossip and lie.   As a deadly virus is stalking the streets, our homes and nations, God is our protection and refuge; however, check your life if you are under the umbrella of God’s protection or are you sinfully persisting in sin like the Felix mentioned above.
