Leadership  comes with responsibility!

Ezra 10:4 "Arise! For this matter is your responsibility, but we will be with you; be courageous and act."

Join us tomorrow August 12, Wednesday @ 6 pm on facebook live:

Captain Deepak Vasant Sathe, commanding pilot of the Air India Express !   On Friday night, August 7  in a horrific tragedy,  an Air India Express flight crashed at Kozhikode International Airport, Kerala. Landing gears didn't work, Captain Deepak Vasant Sathe  made three rounds of airport to empty the fuel which saved plane from catching fire, that’s why there was no smoke seen coming from the crashed aircraft, because he turned off the engine right before the crash. He belly landed, the right wing was ruptured, the pilot martyred but saved life of 180 co-passengers.”  The trip was part of the ‘Vande Bharat’ mission, which has been bringing back Indians trapped abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We salute Captain Deepak Vasant Sathe for his commitment to his job, his bravery, his presence of mind and for his sense of responsibility!

Whatever may be the leadership role that you are holding today, even if it is the head of a family as a father – everything has great responsibility on your shoulder. Are you hearing me?    While pilots are rarely seen by the passengers, every passenger appreciates a pilot who handles and manages the plane well.  The pilot, also called “Captain”, is responsible for everything that occurs on the ground, during the flight, and until it is safely parked again.  A pilot's initial responsibility is to check the weather throughout the flight path and confirm flight schedules.  Likewise, all leadership roles, whether pastor, youth leader, or father, mother, teacher, preacher, builders, constructors, brother, sister, WHATEVER……we have to take responsibility and not take our roles lightly.

When the people of Israel had done atrocious things of mingling with the gentile crowd and pagan worshippers, the wrath of God had come down on them, God raised Ezra to ARISE and teach the people the difference between the clean and unclean stuff.  Dear friend, you cannot ignore and neglect God’s calling just because it is uncomfortable or too tough,  God has prepared you for such a season.  The above mentioned captain sacrificed his life to save passengers, what are you doing during this pandemic situation?  Did you share the gospel with your friends, relatives, neighbors and colleagues or are you busy watching movies on Netflix??
