Games has lost its sheen……

Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”

It’s no more games, playground is like war zone; the obnoxious behavior of players  from India and Bangladesh during and after the ICC Under-19 World Cup this month has been miserable.  Certain amount of aggression is necessary in games, but the players used harsh, violent, crude expletives and abusive language on the playground throughout the game and that’s inexcusable.  It’s all about fame, money, power and popularity now, they would do anything to get there.  Now watch this, the players are under 19! Mark that! Young teens with dirty heart and dirty tongue, what are they going to do with the cup anyways with dirty hands as well?????  Why were they not reprimanded by the coach, school, college and to start with at home????  Parents are you listening???? Dad, mom! How is your language by the way???  Ecclesiastes 7:9 Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools.

Violent video games, watch any TV shows or reality programs involving youngsters the language is very harsh and uncouth, celebrities throw their weight around with obscene language and cuss words are norm today in all social media platforms with million views.  No wonder we are not shocked at it any more, vulgarity has become part of our life, SHAME!!  Bawdy, foul language is flowing like water in schools and colleges; however, more than history, geography and computer we need to instill discipline, manners, etiquettes and good character in the lives of our children.  Is anybody listening to my heart cry today???

Besides my various other roles as mother, preacher, writer and administrator, I also happen to be the Principal of the free school, Abide School that we run for the poor in Hyderabad.  Every day in the assembly the school rules and regulations are read and if any student violates the rules, fine is charged.  If the students speak bad language, they will be charged fine and if anyone fights inside the school or class, he/she will be suspended from school for 2 days besides also paying the fine.  Good leaders produce good fruits! Train your children to speak good words and not ape the world.

Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”

Proverbs 10:11 “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. “

Ephesians 5:4 “Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.”
