Secure in Christ

Psalm 91:1 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”

When I left school after completion of my inter studies, I was selected as the ‘Best student’ of the year, when I joined college I was made the captain of the class, likewise I was selected and elected all along the way; however, situation in my home front was very bad with : poverty, diseases and unhappiness – no joy whatsoever.  On the outside I looked extremely confident and strong but on the inside I had severe insecurity feelings, pain, agony and rejection.  My school and college fees were paid through extreme struggles, sometimes even from an empty stomach.  Though from a Christian home, I knew nothing, absolutely nothing about Jesus and His love, I was chasing love on the outside and living an empty life.

Well, now I became a young adult and worked in a reputed organization, they conducted a seminar for the new entrants, during the seminar they conducted a game and towards the end they gave the results to each individual, I was shocked to receive a chit where it said, ‘extremely insecure.’  Realization of who I am and truth about my insecurity astounded me because I considered myself to be extremely confident and poised.  I was self-sufficient and thought I don’t need God to fill me with His power.

Until the point Jesus walked into my life in the year 1999 when I was bedridden, broken and bruised with physical and emotional breakdown, I was living an empty life.  Jesus healed me and filled my life with His presence, I became crazily in love with Jesus because His love made me whole.  For the first time I felt secure in Christ, I don’t have to beg anyone to love me and comfort me, He was just enough.  Most important I started sharing my experience through writing, preaching and during all opportunities, today my entire family are serving the Lord.     Ephesians 2:13”But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
