God  triumphed gloriously

Exodus 15:1 “….I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously;..” (Living Bible)

Boy! Imagine what the people had come through! Red Sea and the wicked forces of Pharaoh!  Both are formidable and daunting forces to reckon with; yet, God brought them through unscathed.  It was no small feat but just awesomely incredible!

Now, don’t expect Moses and his people to be poised and gentle after such a victory, they were going crazily excited, they brought their tambourines out and were dancing and singing for the Lord.  Observe what Moses said: “I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously!”  He did not say, ‘ I made it, I smartly outwitted the enemy with my astute brains and muscle power, my strategic attack wiped the enemies away, my hard work, my commitment, so on and so forth  but he gave God all the glory.  God has triumphed gloriously!

On the first day of the Soldier’s for Christ camp, I walked up to the pulpit to preach in the first session of the three-days camp, people had travelled from various places to attend the camp, my husband had just finished worship while my son was playing the keyboard.  As I stood there, I was dumbstruck by the awesome deeds of God who had brought me there to preach in front of pastors and preachers and for his protection over my life ( I had just narrowly escaped death a few days back from an accident that left me unscratched)  for his provision and a lot more that only God and me know of and I started weeping tremendously.  I tried to control as the crowd watched me but tears of gratitude came like flood; the people did not know the reason behind the tears though.  Those tears spoke  to God and   said, ‘You destroyed the works of the devil and brought me here to preach another year also.”  I was emotional and tearful all the three days though I was preaching with fire and power.

My son said, “you cried too much mom”, I sat befuddled; however,  we had a guest who came the second day of the meeting and enquired at the reception counter,” I came to hear a woman preacher who has been tearfully preaching I was told.”  One particular Pastor’s wife shared her testimony on the last day, she said,” I came here hopeless and worried with lots of questions, but sister’s tears and her message answered all.  God triumphed gloriously!

Join the jig party and glorify God for all His glorious work in your life.
