He holds me up!

Psalms 94:18”If I should say, "My foot has slipped," Your lovingkindness, O LORD, will hold me up.”

What you see is just a drop compared to the ocean of turmoil that someone is going through in their life and in their heart, never underestimate anyone by looking at their outward joy which may be fake – a mask covering a tsunami of agony. Spread your love to a sea of hurting people out there….

The words ‘ when I thought my foot slips ‘ brought back to my memory of a time when I was in front of the audience eagerly waiting to see our program ; there were disco lights, mike in all our hands, floral decorations, colorful clothes but someone whispered words that I could only hear and that cut my heart very, very deep, I feared I might drop right in front of the whole crowd, my heart broke into million pieces. I felt weak and I wanted to run away….. I cried out, “Lord, let me not make a fool of myself in front of the beloved people who love me immensely.  But you know what, God helped me gulp down the hurt, pain and muster up my strength to walk up the platform and deliver the Word.  I made it by His grace!  His steadfast love sustained me, not just that day but until today.  I stand today not because I am strong and smart  ( I could have slipped a million times, and thrown in the towel trillion times if not for His grace) Amen.  Always remember to pray for God’s servants who are struggling and going through plethora of pain in their life.

This Word is for many people who are crying out in their heart because of harsh words, rejection, humiliation and a lot more.  Dear friend, you have a loving God whose love never wavers and He would not allow you to slip.  I still shiver to think of that moment on the stage when I thought I would fall but God saved me from humiliation and destruction.  Let me finish off this ‘ meal of devotion’ with an awesome dessert, “ verse 19 – when the cares of your heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.”
