God is your shield

Deuteronomy 33:29"Blessed are you, O Israel; Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, Who is the shield of your help And the sword of your majesty!

You don’t need weapons for protection as long as God is on your side! God is your sword!  You cannot say such things without experiencing God in a mighty way like Moses who saw the Hands of God in the wilderness.

There is a flip side to everything that glitters!  You guys get to see the colorful photos of our Abide School children but there is the other side of the ministry which not many know of except God.  When the father of a particular boy played emotional drama inside my office room by touching my feet for mercy for his son, who had continuously created problems, I succumbed to his pleas but least expected the taunts and horror that would follow.  There was something sinister about this boy who made my life miserable.  I endured the entire academic year and allowed him to write the final exams and on the day when I was supposed to give him the TC, the father threatened to bring ‘goondas’ from  his area along with local TV Channel people to accuse me of various things.  I was stunned by the attitude of a man who fell at my feet for school admission; however, on that day I was alone with the office staff, my assistant told me that he had come along with a group of men who stood at the end of the road.  I had prayed much that day, I called him and gave him the papers after which suddenly I found him touching my feet and thanking me with eyes brimming with tears.    (He did not expect me to handover the papers, though )  Who can touch you when God is with you?  Tell me.

God said: “…no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.’ (Psalm 91:10) What a powerful promise! God would watch over you and see to it that none hurt you! . Just watch this scripture closely and find God promising us that “no evil will befall us” if we snuggle close to Him. Anyone listening? “Evil” comes in various forms, it is not only sickness but evil comes in the form of adultery, divorce, misunderstandings, fights, bad habits, rebelliousness and what not; but today we can trust God to just wade them away from our door. Glory to Jesus!

Dear friend, if you have surrendered your life to Christ and you are walking in His ways, then you have nothing to fear – relax, you are in safe Hands. Trust Him to guide you!
