2 Corinthians 3:17” Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

Smooth seas do not make skilled sailors!  Your grit, grin and guts is revealed when you come out of mess and mayhem unscathed!  Hurray!  I tell you, I am all pepped up for this message today. Now listen!

Today was the first day of school after a long summer vacation here in Hyderabad, we made elaborate preparations for this day to meet the challenges that we would face of admissions,  meetings parents, and what not; however, everything possible went wrong: no power for the entire day hence we had to manage the children in the heat and sweat on the very first day, cook didn’t turn up, cleaner and sweeper did not come either, one teacher was hospitalized and one more teacher left town and few parents tried my patience early in the morning.  Without a gap, I had a steady flow of parents at the gate for new admissions, I had put my table outside in the open space and was doing my work.   We had no breathing time even to ponder on the situation, now let me tell you what happened.

We had to also issue uniforms urgently to few students hence along with my daughter one particular teacher was trying out the sizes and giving the new uniforms to students in the class with  no ventilation, air or light, it  was congested; however, the work was going on.  After closing school and when I came home, I got a small, one line whatsup text message from the teacher who was doing all the running round today, she said:” Madam, thanks for all your prayers, this is my testimony, all glory to God, despite no current, no fan, I didn’t feel any suffocation, rather I felt the presence of God.”(exact wordings)  I got to mention here that she is suffering from claustrophobia where such people cannot handle closed rooms, including elevators crowded to capacity, windowless rooms, hotel rooms with closed doors and sealed windows, small cars and even tight-necked clothing.   Did you see that? God can heal you and make you handle situations which you think might drown you!  This is for someone out there!  You can do it and make it victoriously friend: be it that project, may be child birth, new job, assignment whatever….God would bring you through.

Testimony not over though, my daughter  who is not aware of the testimony of the teacher told me: “ma, I did not feel tired or exhausted, I could feel the presence of God in the school today as I went about my work in the midst of that severe heat in the class rooms.”   Before I sign off, I would like to tell from where I drew the energy: as a family we woke up at 4 am in the morning and each of us spent 2 hours or so in the presence of God praying and reading the Bible.
