God texting

2 Chronicles 20:20”…put your trust in the LORD your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed."

I am sure the perky title intrigued you a bit, did it? Many would be opening just to find out what it’s all about; nevertheless, the message would be enthralling too, I guarantee…. God texting? Yeah, He sends His text messages through His prophets, if only we pay attention to His servants and prophets, then we would be well guided in our life.  No confusion, whatsoever, someone needs to hear this today!  Let me explain the above scripture, when a great multitude of his enemies gathered together (read 2 Chronicles 20:2) to attack king Jehoshaphat, he went straight to God, read verse 3“Jehoshaphat was afraid and turned his attention to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.”  Many people run to God as a last option when all the other options fail, but here king Jehoshaphat turns his attention to God and also proclaims a fast in the entire nation.  If you have not been trained in fasting and deep prayer, I recommend you to start right away, you never know when problems will hit your life then you would be properly equipped to face any crisis in life.

The most interesting thing that I would like to talk here is how God watched everything that was happening in the life of Jehoshaphat and look how God speaks to him: “…..in the midst of the assembly the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, 15 and he said, "Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the LORD to you, 'Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God's.’”(verse 14,15) The Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel and God delivered the message to the king and His people.  Dear friend, you don’t have to run around but when you go to the presence of God seeking His help, God would text you and give you instructions and direction.  Anybody listening to me?  Look how the leader Jehoshaphat reacts, he says, “Put your trust in His prophets and succeed.” Amen.  It is up to you to listen to the servants of God or ignore and reject them.  Choice is yours.  May be this message of mine is also like God texting you, listen!

On many occasions God has sent His servants, pastors and messengers to speak to me and I had fearfully obeyed them.  Only a person with a teachable spirit can admit limitation, inability, and be ready to learn from others who can teach and help.
