Spirit of the Lord

2 Corinthians 3:17”For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

Note: God blessed our VBS immensely (Click HERE for pics) and I thank all who supported and prayed for us, please also sow your offering for the upcoming AIC Leadership training camp which will be held from May 8-11. (Click HERE for AIC camp details)

Do you understand what this means? Let me explain through what I experienced just this morning, I had talked about a small boy in my ‘tell it all generation’ titled message.  For one week I had been praying hard for the Holy Spirit to take control over the children who come to church because things were getting rough and tough for me – they were unmanageable. (We take our Angel Home and few Abide School kids to our Sunday School)  Being Easter Sunday, we had prepared special breakfast with sweet to be given before service, I woke up very early to pray and start my work, I spent around a hour and half in the presence of God.  The eyes of God were watching everything!

When we went to pick up of the children, the boy who created a racket the previous Sunday was extremely silent, well ‘let me watch’ I thought.  During the journey, while having breakfast, all the time he was very well behaved, after breakfast he quietly sat next to me during worship. No noise. I was surprised.  The other children also were very well mannered and polite, I lifted my hands during worship and praised the Holy Spirit for taking control over the children. I could feel the presence of God in a very mighty way! Hallelujah! Isn’t it wonderful to handover the situation that is beyond us to the Holy Spirit and watch Him battle for us? Did He not say, “Be still and know that I am God?”  Anybody listening?

If you are gifted with ‘infilling of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues’ then, do that regularly and be filled with the presence of God and His anointing.  This aroma of God on you would chase the demons away from you and your home.  Whenever people come to me for advice, counseling or prayer for family disputes, I insist to pray before I talk to them – when we do this we allow the Holy Spirit to take control of the issue.  I would also suggest that you pray for your husband, your wife, your children and invite the Holy Spirit to guide and instruct you, even if it may be business matters allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in everything that you do.  SPENDING TIME WITH GOD IN THE MORNING AND READING HIS WORD is important for a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led life.  God bless you!
