Glory to glory

2 Corinthians 3:18”….beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”

•    We need to get transformed
•    Into the same image
•    From glory to glory

The above three points just captivated me!  We are expected to grow from glory to glory in the image of the Lord!  Look at that! Is it farfetched and unreachable?  Of course not, it is doable. I have heard people say, “look, I am not God, I am just human”, but in the above scripture we are expected to get transformed into His image.  Don’t duck this, face it.   Read this scripture which gives us the answer: “whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away”,(verse 16) Yes, we get the transformation only when we turn to the Lord!  Is anybody listening to me?  Without spending time reading the Bible or separating quiet time with the Lord, fasting and spending at least one night with the Lord, we cannot expect this glory to manifest in our life.

We need the glory of the Lord to react differently, lovingly and enduringly when  someone at office, church, home or college  is irritating us, if we have been praying, reading the Bible and fasting then we should not snarl back but patiently handle the situation.  Anybody listening to me?  We started the annual AIC camp for this reason of spending time together as body of Christ at the feet of the Lord for three days and equip them to reflect the glory of Christ in their ministry, office and life; however, when I see certain things happening around me, I get discouraged.  There is bound to be differences of opinion as you work in a team, but the glory of the Lord on us should give us endurance to overlook it and not make a mountain out of a molehill.  Children would run and come to an individual when they see the ‘glory’ of the Lord in that person, be it a Sunday school teacher, Bible teacher or a youth leader.  We need SUCH leaders who reflect the glory of God in their life, that is my vision for AIC camp, click HERE to view our pics and details of earlier camps, our next camp will be in Hyderabad on May 8 to 11(4 days)  People would get to stay with me and my family, our school campus and church campus would also be used.

One particular young man Stephen, who is the fruit of our ministry had now gone to UP as missionary, as a small boy my son would love to attend the Sunday school conducted by Stephen.  Having been trained by such a nice and kind person like Stephen, my son is now studying in second year Bible College with passion for God.  Look how it spreads!  I write this devotion on a day of fasting and prayer, so I’m sure it’s going to touch you, prick you and provoke you for a change.
