His ways are higher

Exodus 7:2"You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron shall speak to Pharaoh ………3 "But I will harden Pharaoh's heart that I may multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.”

I thought  when God called us for a particular project, it would be neat without any hardship and would surely bring victory but during my last several years in ministry, I understood that it was never that way! Are you listening?  God takes us through a never-ending  labyrinth of challenges and then finally brings us to our destination.  Just look at the above scripture, God called Moses for a tough job of speaking to king Pharaoh, one would expect things to turn out in favor of Moses but we find God hardening the heart of Pharaoh and thereby Moses finds himself in a precarious situation.  Why should God send Moses to speak and then make things tough for him?  If you are expecting to hear a shallow, straight message without any complications then this message is not for you!  The Bible says: Isaiah 55:8” "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways.”

Let me tell you straight away, God never makes mistakes, when He does something…..there is a reason for it!  About a decade back, at the behest of God, we arranged for a ‘youth meeting’, it was the first public youth meeting that we had arranged with pamphlets and huge banners; yet, the crowd that turned  up for the meeting was nothing spectacular, besides this,  many hindrances and unexpected errors made by people upset me tremendously.  That night as I lay weeping in my bed disappointed and depressed, I received a call from a group of young men who said, ‘ sister, we were immensely blessed by the meeting’, moreover, one particular boy who surrendered his life to serve the Lord in that particular meeting, is still going strong in the Lord.  God never intended for me to hold ‘youth crusades’ for the rest of my life, that particular meeting was designed to touch some chosen ones and the purpose of God was established.  It was never about ‘me’ but about ‘His’ purpose; nevertheless, it took several years for me to understand God’s purpose in my life!

Likewise, God took me through string of disappointments, delays and failures, while I felt hopeless and worthless; God was molding me as a vessel to hold the blessings that He had designed for me.  Never did I dream of a School or Church, but God had it wonderfully prepared for me; He never hurried to give it to me though.

Strive hard and be an overcomer!
