The Bible says , “Discretion will guard you, Understanding will watch over you.’ (Proverbs 2:11)

I’m just burdened to write on a subject that God has put in my heart! Most of the emails I get are from people who are in financial mess, so let us listen to what God says today! To have umpteen degrees added to your name is just not enough, careful discretion is a must! Before every step that you take in your life, be cautious, patient and alert in order to circumvent disaster. I cannot cover every point where one needs to be cautious but let me try and speak on important issues that is happening on a daily basis!  Come on, let’s be honest, there’s a lot of rush and push these days to do relevant courses that would fetch ‘fat salaries’ with foreign assignments; young people are trying to do plethora of ‘courses’ to hike up their merit in the job market.  Nothing wrong; however, are you equipped and wise to spend the money ‘so’ earned in a proper manner?  Not many even know how to handle a wallet.  Don’t shoot me please, I speak from enormous experience!

Friend, your organization would just give you a ‘home loan’ or ‘personal loan’  it is your job to fix the right deal. Anybody there? Don’t hurry and don’t listen to the crowd, analyze wisely and most important keep it in prayer.  If God wants to give you that particular apartment, none can take it away, are you listening? Cool.  At times I have watched smart educated people sit and listen to sellers who would use their sales gimmicks  to convince you, eventually they are interested in their gain rather than your pain, are you listening? To expect integrity from this kind of setup is a chimera! Be alert! If you’re approaching a Bank Manager for a home loan, he now happens to be on the ‘seller’ side and he would say everything convincing so that you take a huge loan. With his target achieved, the bank manager would vanish now, try looking for him when you are in financial trouble – he would have gone away to a different branch. Caution!  I say this not to offend anyone, but I speak from my experience of working with a multinational bank. Thoroughly check papers, do a purchase based on your financial ability and also take advice from your auditor – which is a must. I know many of my friends who have lost lakhs of rupees over promises and exaggerated claims  made by building contractors.  They never got the money back or the promised house! Everything hangs in the air with the people now walking up and down meeting lawyers. Never become an educated fool!
