God dwells in thick darkness!

2 Chronicles 6:1"The LORD has said that He would dwell in the thick cloud.”

This is very difficult to comprehend, unless you're in a situation like that. When everything else, everyone and all support system falls apart, in that darkest period, God walks into our life. He walks with you through the darkness waiting for that moment when you will speak, when you will reach out, when you will ask for His help. Are you ready? Don't panic when things get worse, remember today, God dwells in thick darkness!

You know what, this message is not for people who are meditating on ‘shiny, juicy egg omelets’ but for the ones who are groping in the dark for answers regarding their health, wealth, relationship, marriage, visa, job, promotion, children and much more.  ‘Sis, what do I do now’ is the cry I hear from some people who feel nothing but darkness all around; you are not alone friends, God is right there with you! Please believe me.  Chapter 15 from the book of Genesis is an awesome ‘sit-out-chat’ that Abraham and God have over the ‘father post’ that was still pending in the life of Abraham, just when Abraham felt ‘I can take it no more’ God comes down for a chat with Abraham.  I can almost visualize Abraham kicking his legs, fussing with God and asking, "O Lord GOD, how may I know that I will possess it?"  ( If you have never enjoyed this ‘intimate, cozy relationship with God as a father’ then you would not understand this statement I just made.) I write this after having a ‘little fight with God’ myself during my midnight prayer, over some delays in my life, I went to church preached this message this morning, stood near the pulpit and sobbed under the mighty anointing of the Holy Spirit; my daughter was watching as well as learning this intimate love for God!  (Click HERE to view her blog and read her devotions)

Coming back to Abraham, God puts him to sleep as he waits with his offerings and then starts speaking to Abraham, (Genesis 15:13) and promises Abraham that his descendants will be blessed, did you read that?  Descendants. God did not say ‘I will give you a baby but instead offsprings, descendants!’  Many, much and more!  God did keep up His promise!
