2 Chronicles 3:6”Further, he adorned the house with precious stones; and the gold was gold from Parvaim.”

Solomon  made the room of the holy of holies! (verse 8) Phew!  I got stuck, I mean glue-stuck to this scripture that made me ponder further,  what I write are my thoughts during that moment.  King Solomon who built the most Holy Place of the Temple and adorned the house with gold, gold….gold, but alas, lost GOD and lost holiness in his life!  Very sad. The Bible says: He had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines, and his wives turned his heart away. ( 1 King 11:3)  Managing that ‘much’ women was the only job that he did after his heart turned away from the Lord.  Talking to someone out there, when you look for ‘love’ outside God, the devil takes you to the wrong source.  The girlfriend looks at her lover (husband of another woman) and calls him honey.  So, what does this mean honey? Ugly relationships that sometimes blossoms inside the church are atrocious, but true though.

God is looking for your heart beyond the gold!  Some are busy with gimcrack, shoddy decorations; I’m talking about your empty worship.  Like other gods, your God Jehovah doesn’t want barrels of gold, He wants your HEART.  Are you listening? I wore ten rings on my ten fingers, wore jazzy heavy gold bracelets and loved gold but when my PEARL ( my JESUS) walked in, all the gold took a walk out of my life.  I gave away most of my gold, and I wear no gold rings on my fingers now; I am not against wearing gold though, but avaricious desire is wrong.

Coming back to Solomon, because Solomon left God, his son Rehoboam rebelled and the Bible says, “because they had been unfaithful to the LORD, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem.” (2 Chronicles 12:2) Your protection goes when you leave God! As you read further, things that happen are heartrending; read this:Shishak took the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king's palace. He took everything; he even took the golden shields which Solomon had made.(v 8) Read this again ‘he took everything and also the gold’! Gold was gone.  If this is not warning then what is????The devil has a cakewalk in your life, if you walk away from God and do catwalk with the devil!
